The Oldtimer Museum in Kaprun
A visit to the Oldtimer Museum in Kaprun is not just interesting, memories are also stirred here. You can see vehicles which we ourselves, our parents or even our grandparents have driven, including ones from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, as well as vintage models such as a BMW Isetta and a Messerschmitt Kabinenroller micro-car.
The Kaprun Museum
The building in which the Kaprun Museum is housed tells a 400-year-old story and is also a listed building. The exhibition, which has found a spacious home covering an area of 140 m², is divided into four regional subject areas. Opening times: Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 12am; Sundays from 3pm to 6pm.
Großglockner High Alpine Road
The Großglockner High Alpine Road leads you into the impressive and shapely landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park and on up to the highest mountain in Austria, the Großglockner (3,798 m high) and its glacier, the Pasterze. The most famous of all Alpine roads is 48 kilometres long and has 36 bends.
Kitzsteinhorn Mountain Station at the top of Salzburg
At a height of 3,029 metres above sea level the Kitzsteinhorn Mountain Station is Salzburg’s highest observation point and offers a truly breathtaking and unique panoramic view. Impressive views down into the valley, of Lake Zell and of the Limestone Alps chain of mountain peaks. And best of all: This high Alpine experience can easiyl be enjoyed by everyone!
Hohe Tauern National Park worlds
The interesting thematic hike through different natural areas leads you past a total of 10 interactive stations. A very impressive attempt is made here to bring the visitors close to the interactive Alpine world located around the Großglockner mountain range, with its total of 266 peaks higher than three thousand metres, its mighty waterfalls and its more than 342 glaciers.
With their impressive dropping height of 380 metres, the waterfalls in the municipality of Krimml are not only one of the most famous waterfalls in Europe, they are also one of the most popular sights in Austria. A hiking trail leads directly up to this natural spectacle and provides you with unforgettable and unique views.
Mozart’s City: Salzburg
